No end in sight.

By quickentheheart

Summer keeps sweltering on, my car is still out of commission, and I have had no time to create a decent post. In the near future, I plan to write about: biking/my bicycle, a library photoshoot I have yet to take (must do this Saturday, before classes start and pesky students come back in droves!) fall (which is so far away for us Southerners), and hopefully figure out how to create lovely collages like some of my favourite bloggers (particularly Casey, Aya and Rhiannon!)

So instead, another outfit, wherein my hair decided to be amazing.

This dress is amazing; light, breezy crepe with the best pleated detailing on the chest and back and rhinestone buttons! The wedges are another great ebay find, brand new Hale Bob ones for a steal (16$ including shipping!)

Though this corner of my bedroom is really the only decent area in the apartment to photograph full-length ensemble photos, I want to create more dynamic shots, taking advantage of light and interesting features. This shall have to wait, though!

Hannah, your outfits never cease to amaze me! This dress is wonderful, not to mention the scarf in your hair!

    • quickentheheart Says:

Thanks, Ms. M! It’s actually a vintage chapeau, made from velvet & feathers! Now that my hair is shorter, I want to wear more hats/head accoutrements.

Your dress is so gorgeous! And I really like your shoes. That IS a steal. I forgot how wonderful ebay can be. But it can also be a big pain in the neck. And I agree about your hair….I love it! I wish i could have that kind of hair style.

I’m a horrible ebay fiend, watching over 100 auctions at a given time! It really is a great place for amazing deals, though.

I only recently cut my hair, and I’m trying to get the right kind of curl, with little success. I’m tempted to get a perm!

Hannah! Oh I totally remember you– you used to leave your class while I was waiting around for German, and I always LOVED your outfits, and that was before I started dressing up! And then Maureen introduced me to you and I thought “I need to be her friend!!” but then I graduated and moved out of town, haha. I so miss Wilmington, though, and I really didn’t expect to miss UNCW as much as I do.

You look like such a little doll, I adore your hair and bows and dresses! <3 <3 I'm so excited to see that you have a blog.

Somehow your comment was auto-marked spam!

I wish we could have become friends while in uni, too; if you ever visit (before I move away in May!) we should do a meet-up, heh!

oh my!!! you have a header from marker’s sans soleil!! I adore that film!!

    • quickentheheart Says:

It is one of my favourite films ever, so perfect. I need to add some text to it to personalise it, though.

Ok, so my word for you is whimsical. Whimsical, whimsical, whimsical. I seriously think I have a crush on you. Soo darn cute!

    Hannah,

I really really love your posts. You’re so tasteful.

This dress not only looks good on you, but it’s beautiful it self too. I really like the color fade in tone, from light blue to dark blue. Very unique. Love your style. You’re so cute!

    p.s I love your header!

My FAVORITE shop is The Bargain Box, especially the vintage room! But I always find something at those two thrift shops that are across from each other on S. Kerr– of course I forget their names, but one is a little house under lots of trees. That one especially is usually great for bags! I don’t have any tips, though, besides trying to go early.. but I normally failed at that, haha.

    • quickentheheart Says:

Oh yes, I do love Bargain Box! I haven’t been since I moved to the other side of town, though. I am right near those two on Kerr, I bought some really cute non-clothing things at both. Have you ever been to the Rescue Mission on Castle? It seems like it might hide something good sometimes, but no luck the times I’ve been there.

      • Pansy Says:

Yes! I’ve had crazy good luck on furniture and things like that from there, but I’ve never looked through the clothes. I also used to love Vintage Values (the one near campus) for books and trinkets and things, but that was before I got really into thrifting clothes so I’m not sure about that. But they always have awesome jewelry and random knick knacks that I love. ^_^
